In the beginning...VHR001

Where to start? The three founders of the label Don Stewart, Mike Clam, and Chris 'Quan-fi' Weatherhead, have known each other for a combined total of 450 years. Pretty impressive huh? Along with figuring out how to live for ever, we have been interested in putting out fine music for the ears for 13 years, starting with a collaboration between Mike and Don's then band Bobaphett, and Chris' label Big Enormous Records (a label based in Tacoma with such fine artists as Swelter), putting out a split 7" with the late, great Texas rockers Starfish and Trance Syndicate Records. There are still a few copies of this available, and should be posted to the store soon. Anyway, the three came together and decided to start something huge. To go BIG. So the first project was a collection of rarities and studio out-takes from the Austin, Texas indy-metal band MIGAS entitled Hits -n- Mrs. This was a small run of 200 CDs in a hand printed two-color sleeve from the masters at Bearded Lady Printing. There are very few of these copies left, and they will be posted to the 'store' soon too. This coincided with the return of Don to the great Northwest, and thus the meeting of the minds began.
